Socotec Group, a provider of inspection, technical assistance, consulting and training services for various sectors such as construction and health, will deploy the Sage ERP X3 (version six) system across its offices in 30 countries.
Logica will manage implementation of the new information system, which is set to affect 3,000 workstations across Socotec offices in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The new system will control all of the company’s business functions, including accounting and finance, customer contract and project management, service operations planning, purchasing management and decision analysis.
Socotec said it is re-engineering its information system to create an integrated solution capable of providing end-to-end business management functionality. The solution is expected to help drive the company’s growth internationally by offering flexibility to address specific accounting, legal, or fiscal constraints of the countries in which it operates.
It said the new solution has rich functionality, as well as a simple design and a user-friendly interface.
Socotec added that getting its teams up to speed with the new information system will also be easy and quick, with no additional training required.
