Singapore Launches Two Residential Sites to Yield 820 Housing Units
The Singapore government on Wednesday launched two new residential sites that are expected to yield around 820 housing units.
The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and Housing & Development Board (HDB) launched the land parcels at Tanah Merah Kechil Road and Bright Hill Drive for public tender under the Confirmed List of the 1H2012 Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme.
The two agencies said this is to provide developers and home buyers with more choices for private housing.
The plot at Tanah Merah Kechil Road spans nearly 14,000 square metres with a maximum gross floor area (GFA) of about 39,100 square metres.
Meanwhile, the site area for the land parcel at Bright Hill Drive is about 13,400 square metres and it has a maximum GFA of 37,600 square metres.
The tender for the residential site at Tanah Merah Kechil Road will close at 12 noon on 31 July, and at the same time on 7 August for the Bright Hill Drive site.
The units are part of the expected 7,000 residential units to be launched for sale under the GLS for 1H2012.
